Took like two hours to show me what she’s made of. Damn. Hurry up. Maybe she wanted to lay down for like , I dunno , ten years but who has that kind of time? Finally interesting when she warmed up to what’s going on. Thanks for shyness Paolo - you made me wonder — a month ago
The 2020 Rubesco, 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino, is darkly floral with spiced black cherries, red plums, dusty rose and balsamic spice. Depths of ripe red and blue fruits swirl beneath an air of violet inner florals, taking on an iron-borne minerality toward the round, pliant close. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, October 2024) — 2 months ago
Deep ruby rose color, with violet hints over a medium body. Nose is rich, with rose petal, orange peel, peppery hints and maybe some baked rhubarb or berry jam with hints of pine and wet wood. The palate is vanilla, rose, raspberry compote, and beautifully integrated tannin that grip but don’t dry, with big meaty, almost jerky like notes that linger for a long time, with a taste of bbq sauce on the finish. — 4 months ago

Garnet ruby core , garnet terracotta rim . Spiced dried cherry , some sous bois , old wood , black tea , leather , tobacco , liquorice . On the palate more fruit , with red cherry , strawberry and raspberry notes , herbal touches , still quite good mouth feel , good density . Sweet tannin and lively acidity . Sour cherry tinged , herbal finish . Still showing well , surprisingly so, only starting to fall apart after more than an hour in the glass . Drink now and over the next few years . — a month ago
