Macerated cherry, spice, cigar box, Mediterranean herbs, all come alive in this exceptional field blend of native varieties on Tenerife’s volcanic soils: Táganan, named for the area, from Spanish superstars Envínate. Intensely perfumed, it’s a stunning, elegant red with tremendous clarity and precision, clean and bright with great structure. The finish is long, with saturated sour cherry and a kiss of vanilla. Immaculate stuff, memorable. Decanting essential.

Oddly, a wine with Asian flavors. Strong baijiu aroma on the noise - wild. Bamboo shoot and tofu skin funk, hint of loquat syrup. A bit of savory cinnamon. Would be great with braised pork. — 4 hours ago
Produced from the "mosto flor" ("free-run juice") of sustainably grown and hand-harvested grapes. Ya means "yes!" in Spain. Straw yellow with good flow of tiny bubbles and light mousse. Stone fruit aromas with a vanilla nut fragrance. On the palate peach and citrus flavors, good balance, plenty of acidity and lingers nicely. — 4 months ago

This one has fleshed out nicely over the last 2 years, showing better balance and integration of flavors. Acidity has become more mellow. Nose of lava/asphalt/petrol and grilled lemon. Very mineral, earthy, and austere on the palate as well. Lemony, smoky and salty finish. Almost like a shot of tequila…! 🌵 🍋 🧂

Blackberry, Big League Chew, cured meat, smoke. Dark fruits on the palate with some meaty, spicy notes on the mid palate that reminds me of chorizo. Medium acidity and medium, dusty tannins. Good stuff. — 4 months ago

Spicy mulberry aromas and flavors in this lovely aged Shiraz from the Whispering Hill vineyard in the Mt. Barker area of the Great Southern region, the winery is about 1 hour north of the Margaret River area, on the way south from Perth, still quite dark color, starting to show its age, but still a very fine Shiraz!! — 4 days ago
