I tried this vintage 4 years ago. It is still tart and dry with lively fruit and high acid. The nose exhibits cranberry, almond, American oak (coconut), and cinnamon. The palate reveals cranberry, oak, cedar, aniseed, leather, tart strawberry, and tart cherry. Medium plus tannins, medium plus alcohol, and excellent zippy (high) acid. — 3 years ago
Inky garnet in the glass. Smoky bing cherry, clove and baking spices on the nose. Silky on the palate with vanilla and ripe raspberry, very fine tannins. Perfect pairing with Salmon in a Honey, Soy, Garlic and Dijon glaze! — 3 years ago
Green pepper nose. Bold taste. — 3 months ago
Dry and crisp great with meat — a year ago
Stone fruit and slate with a touch of grapefruit. Brighter than many French Sauvignon Blancs; very tasty! — 3 years ago
Petroleum, honeysuckle, yellow cake, and lavender nose. On the palate more petrol, peach nectar, honey, ruby red grapefruit, gunpowder, white pepper, with a powerful petrol after nose. I might have called this a quality german trocken Riesling in a blind test. This is a fabulous Viognier in the french style. — 4 years ago
‘Cowboys Cuvée’ Red wine blend says the label. Pours a dark and stormy red of blood. Smells like wet stones and gauze. B.O. too. Hint something herbal. Flavors are chewy and fresh. Herbal streak. Fresh basil, mint, marjoram, etc. Plenty of tannins. Cherry cola and fresh blackberry too. This is a pretty standard Mertiage type CA fancy red. Checks in at 14.0% ABV so that seems like a mature grape and a long hangtime. Nice stuff. Big, lush and fairly complex. Hint too much spice box and just a bit of the dreaded vanilla oak sauce though. Otherwise excellent stuff. — 2 years ago

Lemon, apricot, peach fruit on nose plus some saline. Same on taste with peach skin. Notable is the balanced acidity through to long finish. Tasted with Pepe Galante. Should have bought more than one bottle. Very nice. — 10 days ago
