Latour is definitely one of my top three Bordeaux’s.
Even their 3rd wine is special. First 2010 from the vintage I’ve opened. It didn’t disappoint. Just coming around to nice drinking and has another 10-15 years ahead. 3 hour decant.
Ribeye wine. Happy cow from Los Gatos Meats.

Incredible depth and breadth on this 25 year old. Still boasting tannins that are round and firm. Meaty, chewy and impeccable, with a bresaola nose, dried blackberry, cassis, chocolate, espresso, cedar and tobacco. Black cherry, graphite, maduro cigar, blackberry, and bay.

Medium ruby garnet , narrow garnet rim . Quite deep spicy tobacco , cassis , redcurrant , grafite , smoky herbal notes on the nose. On the palate this is quite restrained and elegant , with a mix of red and dark fruits , cassis , blueberry , red currant , touch of menthol also . Good refreshing acidity and slightly gritty tannins , good length with grafite and tobacco stained finish . This is showing well and is probably at peak at the moment , no rush as it will stay here for another 8-10 years or so . — 7 days ago
Expensive but worth it. This Bordeaux is just right now. Paradigmatic Pauillac with deep brooding flavor and bitter finish. Tannins are perfectly smooth. Perfect with steak or on its own while listening to music while contemplating the meaning of life. All of the leather, earth, and tar one can expect from a fine Pauillac and under $100. — 12 days ago
On nose, violets, wild berries, leather, black cherry,
On palate, its soft with medium intensity, still quite tannic consider it as wine from 2016, i got the fruit notes like plums, black cherry, earthy, more on merlot character. 48% Carbenet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, Petit Verdot 4%, Carbenet Franc 3% — 5 days ago
4.5/5 lots of chocolate and sour cherry notes. Would definitely buy again. Great with lots of food — 15 days ago

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (91.3%) and Merlot (8.7%). A bit tight and unexpressive right out of the bottle. After a 45 minute decant, this wine was awake and very alive. Dark ruby color. Aromas of graphite, forest floor, wet gravel and dark black fruit. Flavors of black currant/cherry/berry/plum, tobacco, baking spices, dark chocolate and minerals. Distinct notes of smoky oak and wet earth on the long and lingering finish. Tannins were a bit lighter than expected at first but developed with aeration. Quite savory, rich, full bodied and powerful. Beautiful texture. Exceptional (once it opened up) but not the bottle of near perfection that I had heard so much about. Thanks for sharing, Petey and Happy Birthday, Kase! — a day ago
