Agricola Querciabella

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2019

Querciabella, in Italian, means “beautiful oak” and surrounds their vineyards. Founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, now managed and owned by Sebastiano Cossia Castiglionii. Sangiovese from biodynamically grown grapes, Ruby, lovely nose of fruit, floral and spice. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with earthy herb notes and spicy cacao. Fine tannins, good balance, medium+ finish ending with earthy character. Nice value, consistent. — 3 days ago

Castello di Ama

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2021

Paid €45 for the bottle at Osteria Del Pavone. Marco was the wine captain and his recommendation was excellent! It was a delightful Chianti - rich and full! we would get it again. Price was reasonable for a Restaurant. — 3 hours ago

Fattoria Viticcio

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2016

This is a perfect expression of Sangiovese.
The nose is of ripe fruit, black currents, light spice and a touch of juniper.
Soft on the palate, fruit forward after 20 minutes decanted.
Enjoyed with farfalle pasta with long simmering red meat sauce with capers & black olives. The 2016 vintage is mature and ready to drink!

Aromas of sour cherry, dark plum, cedar, steeped black tea, and tobacco. Shows more earthy and mineral elements on the rich palate. Medium to full body. Bright acidity and rustic supply tannins. Solid Chianti Classical as one would expect from the house of Antinori. — 13 days ago

Marchesi Mazzei

Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2017

Cranberry, tart strawberry, tart cherry, menthol, oak, and cedar. Nice bright fruit with a long finish of zippy acid. Some tertiary notes of prune, burnt sugar, and mulled fruit are apparent, but it can age a bit more. I think it is in its prime now, though, at 7 years. Medium body, medium alcohol, high acid, and medium plus tannins. — 14 days ago
