Enjoyed during over a fun weekend with my sister visiting us from England. She loved that we had chosen this wine as she had visited this vineyard years ago and remembers fondly! Perfect example of a Chianti Classico! Thoroughly enjoyed with fresh baked focaccia and prosciutto di Parma (18mo.) — 2 years ago
Chosen at a good Italian restaurant at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast off the Wine List. Chosen for the vintage - the producer unknown to me. Brief notes. Earthy with a deep black cherry note. Persistent but smooth tannins. Went well with a slow roasted shoulder of lamb with Pappardelle pasta. Celebrating the sale of our apartment held for over 21 years on the Gold Coast. — 2 years ago
A new tasting experience on several levels. Had never heard of or tasted this grape varietal, Schioppettino. I was looking for a lighter red off the menu at Settimo, Guy Grossi’s new Brisbane venture. Chosen purely because of its location in Friuli ie. cooler climate. The Somm was in the dark but the wine ended up being a revelation. Red cherry and cranberry - intense white pepper on nose and palate. Dried red florals. Love this style. Will be on the lookout for this Cuvée in the future. — 2 years ago
Chosen by Bobby during their visit, but opened on Friday takeout on Truby on 7/15/2022. — 3 years ago
One of my favorite vintages for Roulot. An absolute classic every time. Chosen over the far too often advanced 2010, 2011 is perfect tonight showing superb depth of aromatics with clean and defined white orchard fruit, spices and toast with a textured and rounded palate and notable length. Perfect white burg off the very special Epicure list. — 2 years ago
Nice, natural desert wine. Napoleon’s chosen wine while in prison. — 2 years ago
Night two at Bern’s. We’re going for some incremental age tonight. Chosen for its good color, despite a low fill. Reddish tawny color, a bit cloudy, and has a high pitched nose at first. Notes of red fruit, cedar and cranberries initially. With more air, the nose settles down to show more Bordeaux character including dusty earth, wood desk and gravel stone. This blossomed after 30 or so minutes, then began to decline. At peak it had a 95 point nose. Overall it was a great experience. — 2 years ago
2018 vintage. Great sprawling, yet soft, nose. Medium-bodied. Full of PL/Graves cocoa powder/milk chocolate texture love. Needs 3-5 years to find its way forward. Supple and silky finish indicates the right path has been chosen. Tannins? What tannins? — 3 years ago

Barolo chosen by the barolo expert. Very tannic. Velvety. Dynamite. — a year ago
