Nice blend of tannins, fruit, spice for a meal spanning seafood and meat. Would have again. — 2 months ago
One of the best estate visits and the best Etna Rosso during our focused Sicily wine trip Jan 2024. Very pale brilliant ruby. Fresh cranberry and strawberry and red blossoms. Rose petal. Smoky and herbal. Lavender, truffle, mint, medicinal herbs. — 5 months ago
!00% Nerello Mascalese, Single Contrada from a favorite Sicilian Producer. This isn’t the typical lighter, easy drinking Nerello. This has body, weight and complexity. Darker fruit: black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, smoke, with tannins and acidity. Definitely capable of aging but I have a hard time time not drinking them! — 2 months ago
Nice blend from this Oregon winery with Washington state sourced grapes. Still holding its own and drinking decently after 17 years. — 3 months ago
This Etna Rosso is made with 100% Nerello Mascalese (a local variety) that offers a beautiful ruby hue and ripe black cherry, strawberry, pomegranate notes, rose water, licorice, anise, clove, crushed gravel, and earthiness. It’s vibrant and ripe.
It vinified in stainless steel and matured in both neutral oak (for 12 mos) and stainless steel (for another 10 months), lending texture and delicate spice notes. — 9 days ago
