Domaine Dujac

Morey Saint-Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2017

Medium ruby , quite wide garnet rim . Violets, rose and summer fruits , touch of smoke and earthy notes . On the palate quite structured , with red cherry , blackberry , blackcurrant , quite a mineral , earthy backbone . Nice density , and good fresh acidity , decent saline tinged length , slightly gritty tannin . Really developed well with time in the glass, showing more mineral and structure , great finesse. This is showing quite young still and will likely improve over the next few years and last well another decade. — 17 hours ago

A beauty. Nicely integrated and ready to go. This vineyard sits above Clos de Tart. — a month ago

Served blind. We picked this as Morey St. Denis , but didn’t get the producer or the year. Lovely. Minerally. — 10 days ago

Domaine des Lambrays

Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2014

Delectable Wine
8.9

The 2014 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru, made by Thierry Brouin, has a typically leafy bouquet. There is something autumnal about the aromatics, and some red fruits are extant but certainly moving into their secondary phase. The palate is medium-bodied with an austere, slightly meaty opening. This is not a concentrated Lambrays by any means. It's a little dry and mealy in the mouth, though it has charm. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

Mommessin

Clos de Tart Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2006

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2006 Clos de Tart was one of the better wines from Sylvain Pitiot's era. It has evolved a little since my last tasting in 2018. The broody black fruit on the nose still oddly harks toward Bordeaux. It's not as tight-fisted as before. The palate is structured with a lot of substance; what it lacks in elegance, it compensates with sheer bravura. Perhaps it just lacks the precision on the finish to compel you back for another sip. This wine is for those who seek Burgundy Grand Cru with body. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)
