Leather, dirt, rocks, ripe plums. — 3 years ago
One of the most memorable wines ever. First thing I noticed was the color, very pale garnet. Spice and wet dirt on the nose, very little fruit. The palate was amazing: rusted iron and sandalwood. Each sip was more and more compelling. A wine that you want to drink slowly and to savor. Only 1 bottle, unfortunately. — 3 years ago
Complex taste paired well with food. Did not like it straight out of the bottle, but enjoyed it after aeration. Easy drinking! from Jake! — 7 months ago
Really smooth! Would drink again. — 3 years ago
Opened up nicely after ~1 hour and drank really nicely. very good dirt+fruit balance that I enjoyed. — 4 years ago
I ask for a sweet wine not from Jerez (Sherry) and she gives me a taste and says do you want a full glass? To this wine I say F*#& yes! Super acidity makes this drinkable as heck! Passion fruit, papaya, beeswax, honeysuckle and bitter orange notes on the nose and palate. Nice mouthfeel, with body yet super smooth. Paired with chocolate mousse and passion fruit ice cream, I am feeling extremely guilty and already planning my run for tomorrow morning! — 5 years ago
1966 vintage. Last tasted 9.20.23. That bottle was a little "chunkier." This one was more refined. Decanted and tasted nearly immediately and throughout a 2 hour window. Throwing the expected kitchen sink's worth of sed. Color initially seemed lighter, like 30+ year old red Burg but ended up being a tad darker than that. Light-medium body. Earth, summer dirt and Valrhona chocolate in the nose. All this plus dried cherries in the frontal palate finish. Not much to speak of on the back end. Rated that 9.20.23 bottle an 8.8 and this is slightly better. Still...a definite rush to crush this. 11.11.23. — a year ago
Good showing for a just released wine. Young but opened nicely. Deep and earthy. Lots of Rutherford dirt flavor. Would be good to stock up on to have and age — 5 years ago

Good wine. Didn't have it at the right temperature but it had good potential. Deep, blackberries, noticeable tanins.. — 3 months ago
