Seriously Old Dirt Merlot Blend 2021

Lovely cab blend with fruit forward approach. Improved with 3 hours of air. Not as rich as my favorite cabs but went well with filet. — 2 months ago

The Dirt Worshipper Central Coast Syrah Blend 2020

Blend of mostly Syrah with a splash of Petit Verdot, Clairette Blanche, Graciano and Viognier, may vary a bit from year to year. Deep Ruby with purple hues, big aromas of dark fruits, cedar and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum & blueberry with notes of vanilla, licorice and smoke. Fine tannins, long finish, great mouthfeel ending with fruit, herbs and spice. — a year ago

La Pialade de Rayas Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend 2014

One of the most memorable wines ever. First thing I noticed was the color, very pale garnet. Spice and wet dirt on the nose, very little fruit. The palate was amazing: rusted iron and sandalwood. Each sip was more and more compelling. A wine that you want to drink slowly and to savor. Only 1 bottle, unfortunately. — 5 years ago

Dirt Farmer Dry Red Blend 2019

Medium ruby in color; cherries, raspberries, and tabacco on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like tart cherries, red currants, and wet slate with a long finish. I like it. Nellie says it's ok. — 7 months ago

Castellani La Cattura Toscana Teroldego Syrah 2015

ESF
9.1

continuing in the vein of unusual Italian wines, we thoroughly enjoyed this 10 yr old Teroldego from Tuscany of all places: pouring a deep rich ruby, partially opaque with copious quantities of red fruit on the nose, some dark berried fruit as well, licorice, dirt & soil, peppery goodness some dried herbs and so on. complex and engaging, med bodied on palate, more fruit & spice, fleshy mild tannins and smooth finish - other than color, not showing its age. — 6 months ago
