Domaine De La Chapelle Des Bois

Château La Mission Haut-Brion

La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Unbeatable location and excellent wine list, this one jumped off the page at us. Not surprising as it was our wine of the year in 2022. It’s back with a vengeance in 2024, into the #1 spot again. Smooth, almost creamy, with classic dark fruits (cherry), dark chocolate and earthy, leathery finish. Perfect with our Chateaubriand 👌🏼 — 14 days ago

Domaine De La Grand'Cour (Jean-Louis Dutraive)

Chapelle des Bois Fleurie Gamay 2018

So I guess this is a Gamay from the Rhône? Didn’t know such a thing existed but this is the best “Rhône” I’ve had in a long time - mostly bc it’s a Beaujolais through and through - classic muddy/cloudy consistency, intense fruit on the nose. Only issue is that it’s still very sparkly on the palate, so definitely needs a few more years. Or a very long decant. Tons of potential — 6 months ago

Château Bois Redon

Bordeaux Supérieur Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

So good to be drinking this bottle again… the 2014 vintage was what started my obsession with French Bordeaux’s year ago. Glad to report this is still a fantastic bottle! Fruity and well balanced. Tannic and fruity. I just love this wine and will continue buying it, for the price it’s a great R bank Bordeaux. #nostalgia #bordeaux — a month ago

La Petite Chapelle Hermitage Syrah 2012

3 years since previous bottle, very mild integrated tannins, rich deep fruit mellowing into forest floor. Aromatic, some complexity over the evening. Nice. — 6 months ago
