Such a good wine. One of the best in CA. Love the herbs and lighter bodied nature of this one. Cedar, purple fruits, herbs, so fresh but also such good fruit. — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2000 pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated red and black fruits: mixed brambles, black cherry, some fruit leather, some actual leather, pipe tobacco, black pepper, some mushrooms and decomposing earth and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose where the fruit comes across a bit more desiccated and no less delicious. The finish is long. Drink now. — a month ago

Not bad

From a Syrah specialist in Central Coast, this shows a profile of ripe blueberries and blackberries, accented by violets, dark roast coffee, and a hint of dried herbs. On the palate, it's full-bodied and powerful, though it comes across as slightly over-extracted, with firm, grippy tannins that need time to settle.
A solid wine, but I think there are better options in its price range. — 22 days ago

Blackberry, rich and quite thick on palate, but with some very nice underlying acidity that provides some nice tension on the palate and into the lingering finish, very fine Central Coast Syrah! — 15 days ago
