I’ve been told by locals that Montsant is the region that makes Priorat style wines but at a better value (and they don’t mean that euphemistally, they do mean better value). On the map, it almost envelops Priorat. So far, so true. Raspberries and stone fruit predominate. Maybe a touch hot. Didn’t blow my mind, but it’s definitely a competently made wine from good grapes. I will definitely be back for this one. — 8 months ago
A 5th Growth from the left bank of Bordeaux, driven on 70% Cab Sauv and 30% Merlot. It has the finesse and the style of Pauillac wines. Elegant and quite complex, highly aromatic and has abundance of tannins while shining on the finish. Warm and active!
Chateau owners also have Lynch-Baches and Ormes de Pez. — 22 days ago
Lemon Pez. Lemon zest, white flowers, crushed stone, bright acidity. — 2 years ago
A baby CdP, this 11+ year old was a bit tight upon opening, but unfurled like a beautiful rose with tangy spiced violet raspberries and that PEZ-like VERVE that went perfect with our homemade lamb meatballs with fresh naan. The medium weighted body with long floral finish with very poetic too :) — 3 years ago
2019 vintage. $15.85 resto cost. This is huge BDX QPR. Picked up two cases to throw on the list as a cheap chicken but may hafta pick up three more to have for a year+. Finishes dry as is the St. Estèphe wont but enough fruit and balance as it stands. Can’t ask for more at this price. 11.6.24. — 3 months ago
