Delicious wine. I would definitely buy this again. It reminds me a lot of a Pinot — 3 months ago
This is Anita Kuhnel’s “Trés Vieille Vigne” from Les Caves in Moulin à Vent.
Popped and poured, enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2022 “Les Caves - Trés Vieille Vigne” pours a deep purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe black fruit: blackberries, violets, licorice, minerals and dry rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and mineral laden. A powerful wine showing the structure of Moulin à Vent. I would describe this as leaning towards the Burgundian side of the Beaujolais spectrum and it’s a wonderful example; totally true to its place. Drinking well now and should gain complexity and drink well through 2037. — 3 months ago
Super lovely bright finish with some viscosity advised by dear Anita — a year ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2019 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red and black fruits: Montmorency cherry, plums, horse barn, purple and red flowers, crushed rocks and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and laden with minerals. This is not faking the funk on a nasty dunk. Drink now through 2029. — 10 hours ago
