Bright gold with coppery overtones. Unctuous nose of honey, dried apple., and clay! Palate is full and complex yielding layers of dried apple, white flowers, burnt marzipan, hay, and cinnamon bark. Acidity is firm from entry to finish. Finish is long and recalls the earthier earlier flavors. Wow. I may not think of Vermentino the same way. A complex, layered white with enough "stuff" to compliment a wide range of foods from seafood to poultry to (yes) lighter cuts of beef. Drink now through 2027. — 3 years ago

This has to be one of the most refined and finessed sangiovese I've tried. Think Hermitage or Saint Joseph levels of refinement and balance. — 2 months ago
Needs some time to open up, then black cherry and tar, lively and deep. — 3 months ago

Dense, rich, ripe than other arpepe range. — 4 years ago
For a Sangiovese that’s not “ super Tuscan”, there is evident oak. But this Jr.* package is finely knit, all in balance.
Lots of chocolate, mint, leather, dark cherries and oak tannins seductively put together. More of an adventure for those with some Sangiovese experience than an introduction. With Chicken livers & Garam Masala very nice.

Bright light medium ruby . Quite aromatic with strawberry , rose , spicy red cherry and raspberry on the nose . On the palate quite fresh and fruit driven , with those strawberry and red cherry notes , balanced acidity and quite light ripe tannins, balanced alcohol . Ok length. For early consumption but well made with good freshness and a lively fruit and floral personality. Drink now and over the next couple of years. — 3 months ago

I was told this bottle is scarcely available as only about 1,000 cases produced each vintage and most of them stay in Spain.
Rich and ultra smooth, this somewhat reminds me of Clio. Coconut and Creme de Cassis overwhelmed initially but eventually settled down. Unapologetically hedonistic, it’s nevertheless delicious and possesses great substance. Would love to try one with some bottle age, but the first vintage release was 2014.
