Nice bottle, nothing too complex. Cherry notes, perfect with a wild game ragout and stinky Pod — 2 months ago
Medium ruby , with a relatively wide ruby garnet rim , healthy bright colour . Quite a lot of dried dark fruits , cassis , spiced dried cherries , dried cut herbs , coffee . On the palate this has high acidity and good extract , well integrated alcohol , though it clocks in at 15% . Dried cherry , roasted herbs , cassis , earthy touches . Good length, and quite grippy but fine tannins . Enjoyable this evening but there is no rush this will probably improve over the next 5 or so years and last well over the following 5-10 years . 375ml. Nose has crunchy black cherry fruit, and the characteristic earthiness of the region has taken on a slightly animal, feral quality in this iteration. Savory and relatively full in the mouth. A little drying and bitter at the end of the finish. — 19 days ago

Dark cherries, bramble, leather, earthy and mediterraen spices. Love the acidity backed with fine minerality. Good balance. Wine really lasts. — 10 days ago

Year in, year out, this is my fav Chianti Classico. To me it captures all what I look for in a good every day Sangiovese - freshness, a bit of tannic edge, juicy flow, a savory sweetness to the fruit. And food friendliness!
Enticing nose with red cherries, a bit of wet undergrowth & turned earth, a bit of tomato leaf, a flowery whiff. Joyful!
Medium bodied on the palate with great energy & flow. The tannins present, a touch rustic, but in a nice way, the acidity juicy & vibrant. Nice depth and long finish.
So drinkable but also has some seriousness to it.

Good Chianti. Blackberry and fruit notes with some acidity. Finished nicely. — 7 days ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of raspberries, balsamic, and wood smoke; on the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, medium body, high alcohol, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of red currant, cherries, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it too. — 25 days ago

Raspberry jam on the nose. Cherry and plum with nice acidity to start on the tongue blending out to cherry, raspberry, leather and oak then finishing in cocoa and a hint of oak. Medium tannins. Went well with my stuffed banana peppers. — 2 months ago

Popped and poured, zero sediment. Color shows a little amber at the rim. Nose smells a bit tertiary for a wine only 6 years old. Scents of rioe, macerated cherry competing with old leather and some mahogany furniture scent. Lots of dessicated gravel too. In the mouth it’s a bit lean, with puckery tannins and a shortish finish. Flavors on entry are on the savory side. Lacks fruit somewhat on the palate. Just OK, which is disappointing for this wine.
UPDATE: On night 2, after being under a vacuum closure, it’s showing more depth, liveliness, and fruit. Upping the score from 8.7 on night one to 8.9 on night 2. — a day ago
