Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 13 days ago
Made from Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada grapes, bright pale gold color with a frothy creamy mousse, small rapid bubble flow with a steady stream. Aromas and flavors of apple and citrus with toasty notes, integrated, nice mouthfeel, elegant long finish. Great value as an exceptional alternative to French Champagne. — 17 days ago
The 2012 vintage really showcases the brilliance of López de Heredia in a challenging, dry year. Deep garnet with brick hues at the rim; lovely aromas of red cherries and red currants, coffee, spiced cedar, leather, and light oak on the nose; great red and black fruit on the palate, plus earthy notes, dried herbs, and silky and well integrated tannins; and a long, elegant finish with a perfect balance of fruit and acids.
Enjoyed with spanish charcuteries and danish cheeses - and Tchaikovsky’s 6th with Teodor Currentzis. — a day ago
Surprisingly tart/fruity considering the vintage. Nice tannins. — 16 hours ago

Sangiovese / sagrantino / montepulciano blend from hilltop vineyard, several years of tank and cask ageing but no new wood. Huge wine but somehow manages to be lively and dimensional. Dark, fleshy red and black fruits with lots of savory, herbal and floral elements — 16 days ago
Wine is dark ruby, with purplish on the edge. On nose its ripe fruit, floral parfumed, oak in there, violets, tobacco. On palate, wine is full bodied, jammy, fine acidity, tannic, wine is open up after 1 hour decant. The intensity is there. Its still too young to drink. Try it after 2026. Red bordeaux blend, Cheers! — 10 days ago

Love it. Though big, bold, and high al at 14.5%, a great example of a rioja w some age. Prob could age much longer. Very tart fruit. Fruit better defined day one vs day two. For $40, definitely worth it. Why ever drink a 2yr old CA cab and pay $100+??!! — 7 days ago
