Opened yesterday, drank over 2 days.
The nose is very fruity and intense with dark cherry touches, earthy notes, some raspberry and blackberry scents too. I could even smell some peony notes too. This is really inviting. The palate is wide and long and quite complex. A good acid drive, some dark cherry notes all along, some very soft and easy going mouthfeel that is changing in mid palate with a great tannic wall, which adds a layer of dust over an otherwise quite juicy and fruity finish. In the back-end though, there is a tiny savoury note that pops along with a subtle bitterness. This is really my kind of cab franc. Really good stuff! — 9 months ago

Enjoyed over four evenings. Very nice aromatics, good blend. — a month ago
Almond, cherry, dried rose petals, leather... This is nice. There is a barnyard funk think too, which goes away after a while. The palate is very well done with a good acid drive, some nice cherry notes all along, a vivid mouthfeel, some drying tannins in the rear, some savoury touches blossom in the finish along with bright cherry notes and that dried layer. It's a very good effort, one of the best classico I have tasted recently, quite easy going. — a year ago
After having the 2014 Clos just a couple weeks back, it was nice to be able to have the Preuses close in time and compare the two. Both equally as stunning in their own ways, the 2014 Preuses may be even more seamless at this point in time. Its energy and intensity radiate on the palate showing tremendous power and drive. There’s the craveable crushed oyster shell minerality and sea spray salinity that’s complimented with an intense citrusy fruit expression and a lemony acid spine. Opens up beautifully in the decanter over the course of the meal continuing to show how terrific the vintage was for Dauvissat and Chablis. Totally built for the long haul but fantastic now as well. — 3 years ago
At the Henschke tasting weekend with Stephen and Pru. Amazing how good this was for its youth. You could happily drink this now although the winery says you could cellar this 15 plus years (from vintage). In chatting with Stephen I think this was what he was trying to achieve. Excellent vintage he said. Red and blue fruits - touches of anise and white pepper. 81% Shiraz, 11% Grenache, 6% Mataro and 2% Viognier (for aromatics). An affordable Henschke red at $40. — 6 months ago
First take on the '20 vintage that we brought back to Poland after Christmas . Very intense nose of violets, blackberries, raspberries, cherry, licorice... There is a tiny earthy note too, along with an irony thing. The palate is very well made as always, with a great acid drive, a good width, some red and black fruits touches all along, some drying tannins in the rear and a long finish with fruit and a bit of an umami touch that makes you want to pour yourself another glass right away. It's a bit more complex than '19, with some more layers of texture and taste. I'm obviously partial here but for about 8 eur a bottle from the producer this is extremely great value. — 2 years ago
Rioja Blanco, not the Rose
K&L notes,
White Artadi? I am shocked that I didn't know that it existed, but I am so glad to know that it exists. This is everything that you would expect that it would be. This old vine Viura from Alavesa. It has the transparency that you expect for the winery, the palate is so expresive of the chalky soils of the region. This is not a traditional oaky oxidized white. This is a pure modern expresion of the varietal. Apples, citrus, drying floral notes and a dusty chalkiness. It is very fresh and the wine has the energy and drive that you come to expect from the reds. — 4 years ago
