Allegrini

Palazzo della Torre Veronese Corvina Blend 2021

One of the wines that has made Allegrini famous, vineyard surrounds Villa della Torre. A blend of about 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella & 5% Sangiovese, deep Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruit and black pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with vanilla, figs and licorice notes, good balance, lively acid with fine chewy tannins. Medium finish ending with fruit, mineral and earthy spice. Nice value. — 10 days ago

Tenuta Guado al Tasso Il Bruciato Bolgheri Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2022

Soft, dry, sweet notes, Smokey and nice for grilled meet. Nothing better for a rainy Firenze afternoon — 3 days ago

Il Marroneto

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Red fruit but the savory side of it; that crayola thing I am a slut for, clay, pipe tobacco, tomato jam, rosewood, incense, savory herbs and developed red fruit on the palate. They say you can only have this kind n Rhode Island but I feel like some Italians can have it too. Delish. — 8 days ago

La Spinetta

Il Nero di Casanova Toscana Sangiovese 2020

Wonderful wine! Dry as the Sahara desert, complex nose, cherry, herbs, very small touch of citrus. Long lasting on the palette. Paired beautifully with a crispy duck leg confit — 17 days ago

Poderi Aldo Conterno

Il Favot Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

Tart, dark and pretty big. Approachable still. Excited to open some older Barolo from Conterno. — 5 days ago

Tenuta Il Poggione

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese

Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 7 days ago

Il Rosé di Casanova Prugnolo Gentile - Sangiovese Rosé Blend 2023

Always worth a revisit- Thanksgiving wine, more grapefruit zest than I remember, to be drunk near room temp like a light red. Savory & iodine edges. — 23 days ago
