Upon opening there's the usual Riesling petroleum nose, but this cleared off quickly. This left a pineapple and apricot nose. And wow. Juicy pineapple and lemon, super fresh and juicy, and so smooth. This is gorgeous! Note: After drinking this for a bit we determined it was a little too sweet. We understood it was a late harvest wine so it is supposed to be sweet, so this is a personal preference. — 4 years ago
Surprisingly energetic and sharp for a Pfalz Riesling with steely, spicy lemons and a whiff of peach in the background. Great juiciness & purity, this has the drinkability if a clear mountain spring. Brilliant for sipping solo, but will hold its ground with light food. A cracker entry level wine & brilliant value! — 6 years ago
Pale lemon with pronounced stone fruit and citrus aromas with floral blossoms. On the palate flavors of apricot, peach and lime citrus with vivid acidity, minerality and spice. Medium finish ending dry with fresh fruit and smoky mineral notes. — 4 years ago

It’s only shy of 10 because I do want it to be a tad more sharp. However, what a great find and alternative to Riesling. It skews on a honeydew sweetness note. Perfectly refreshing for a hot summer day. — 6 years ago
WOW I love this. Slight juiciness of yellow/green apples with skin on, dry but not taxing tannin. Exactly as expected. Little pop in mouth like pop rocks. — 6 years ago

Vintage 2016 | Archetypical Riesling kabinett that performs absolutely great now. Multi layered smell with honey, peach, apricot, butter chatter, lots of minerals. Very vivid taste with tingling acids that give it tension. Dangerously easy to drink. But will give no problem even if you drink a bottle, only 9% alcohol. Love this exciting Mosel. It gained extra depth with two years cellar since I last drank it | Paired with a vegan Chinese vegetable dish from the wok. — 4 years ago
Bit tangy at first sip, but smooth with slight citrus, raisins after taste. Fresh, light and pleasing

Dinner 11/29/17 with turkey pie and other dishes. Had to open two bottles! Popular with the kids! Again perfect example of old Riesling aged at the vineyard cellar all these years. Must be that freshness from the living molds! — 7 years ago
1997- really delicious and holding up well. Touch sweet and with plenty of acidity. — 7 years ago
