Full bodied, green apple, peach with bright acidity — 2 months ago
🤯 🤯🤯 Difficult to find even when in the region it comes from, but, YES YES YES. Magic — 3 months ago
Apples and citrus on the nose. Crisp and acidic palate with a long smooth finish with more notes of apple. It makes a wonderful cold glass on a hot summer day. For $7.99 at Costco, this is a bulk buy. — 4 months ago
One of the last couple vintages from the master, and while it won’t be as legendary as the finale of 2015 (which is one to hold), the cool 2014 vintage has been managed beautifully, and allows for early drinking. After 2 hours in the decanter it’s wonderfully expressive and aromatic wafting layers of kirsch cherries, saddle leather, camphor and violets. The palate shows striking richness and an impeccable balance of elegance, ripeness and concentration, which is quite the feat in this vintage.
When you think of vintages in Rhône that are considered to be less heralded, such as 2008 for example, typicites just don’t exist for the likes of Bonneau and Rayas. (08 happens to be one of my favorites for both). Ultimately there are no bad vintages for Bonneau, just different ones. Beautiful wine. — a month ago
There are times in a wine lovers trajectory when certain bottles become ethereal. Yes, they are perfect without a doubt. However, they also posses the power to make you recall specific memories through smell and taste. And, as a wine lover, when you find those wines, reliving that memory becomes reality. As you smell and taste the wine/memory in your mind you can feel it too. Cheer to finding more of these wines. — 2 months ago

Two great thanksgiving wines but with a very clear winner and not even difficult to guess. I have zero emotion with the Margaux and love the elegance of the Rayas even in a year that may be a bit less. — 20 days ago
