Gorgeous clear cherry on the nose. Round and opulent and so pretty. Spice, cinnamon, tar, tobacco, so clear and vivid. Palate is ripe, deep, powerful and very concentrated. Really this is a large scaled wine but still has an elegant yet intense structure. Red fruits all the way and a bit awkward initially and needs maybe 40 minutes to get there. Delicious stuff. Long finish and really high quality fruit that only comes from a top top vintage. — 3 years ago
At dinner Naxiang Xiao lunbao with Cindy Pino. Interesting white I haven’t had before. Good balance and acidity for Shanghai dishes. — a month ago

Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and plums with tobacco and herb spice. Firm grippy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and mineral character. Ok but Juliet better! — a month ago

You’ve got to be kidding me. A 2007 Salvo Foti wine. A museum piece. Wonderful Etna Rosso minerals, herbs, deep red fruit. Thank you Alex, for finding and gifting it. — 2 days ago
