This 26 year old Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking very nicely now, although might be past its prime.
Feels like an aged Left Bank Bordeaux.
Loved the nose here, but needed an hour of airtime to open up. After 3 hours of airtime, more vegetable and earth notes show up.

Inky in color with a very short reddish/ brick rim.
Full bodied with medium acidity

Soft tannins on the tangy finish.
This 10 year old Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is probably on its way out. Still very drinkable, but a little unbalanced and showing lots of earth notes.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after two hours of air time.
Showing nice complexity at this point, but a little bitter for my taste.
Although still good, I expected more from this second wine from this producer and this vintage.

Dark rubi robe with a slight brick color on the rim. One would never say its over 40 years old. Cedar notes intertwined with dark cherries, tobacco, pencil lead, and secondary aromas. Dense, rich, but balanced and fresh, its a bold Pauillac ready to drink but absolutely no rush. Great bottle and one of the best 82s we tasted. — 2 years ago
Opened to use in ragu and was shocked how much we liked it. Someone must have brought it over (Jim?) — 3 months ago

This 42 year old Barolo is just gorgeous now. Drinking beautifully with great complexity and mouthfeel. Elegant and rich. Well balanced and powerful.
Feels like it still has power in it to last even longer, although I don't see it getting much better from this point on. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 10 years.
Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine. Still showing great acidity and feels vibrant and very much alive. Delicious, powerful and delectable.
This is a wonderful experience. I just love tasting these kind of aged wines.

This is a great surprise, as the cork totally crumbled, and I expected the worst, but it really delivered.
Shows nice balance, and great complexity with a velvety mouthfeel.
Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. As it opens up, tannins come in (45 minutes), and make it more structured and interesting.

Impressive, Cranberry, touch volatile acid, cherry, juicy, lots of tannins. This is really good and reminds me of the Burghs in the old old days before they did get stylized. Biodynamic, 13%. — 5 days ago
