A blend of about 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella & 5% Sangiovese, deep Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruit and black pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with vanilla, figs and licorice notes, good balance, lively acid with fine chewy tannins. Raisiny and grape-y nose offers tart and powdered candy notes, white mushroom, schist, light pepper and tea. Dry open of grape-y tartness, bing cherry and lavender petal. Mouth-coating with cranberry-blackberry and black currant, bitters and dates. Great priced ripasso.

Vintage 2010 | This reserva is made of 90% Sangiovese, 10% mix Canaiola and Colorino. Ripened on foudres from Slavonian and French oak. The wine has a velvety taste, vanilla and spices. I drank this Chianti several times, at this age I am really enthusiastic! Paired with spaghetti and meatballs in Napolitanen tomatosauce. — 8 months ago

On the palate, medium to full body, cherry, currants, anise, espresso bean, leather, balsamic, vanilla and chocolate; a nicely layered palate with a medium to long finish.
