Château Grand-Puy Ducasse ‘Prelude a Grand-Puy Ducasse’ Pauillac 2016: Full-bodied. Distinct medium-plus tannins. High acidity. Blackberry. Plum. Cassis. Vanilla. Earth. Oak. Long dry finish. Consisting of a fine mix of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot, this blend hits all the right notes: elegant & smooth, rich & ripe. Bottom line, this is a beautiful, well-made wine. If I had a second bottle, I would definitely cellar as time will only benefit it. Great day to all! Cheers🍷 — 2 years ago
Crisp acidity and nice fruit that pairs perfectly with spicy food. — 4 years ago
A fantastic bottle of Chablis-adjacent, just great a year since our last bottle. Please see prior notes on the vintage. (A touch more salty than before, but doing fine.)
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our guest conductor Karina Canellakis is leading WAGNER (Prelude to Lohengrin, Act 1), CHOPIN (Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Opus 21) with one of our local treasures, Emanuel (Manny!) Ax on piano and then RACHMANINOFF (Symphonic Dances, Opus 45). A fantastic night is ahead of us! — 2 years ago

Drinking beautifully at 20 years of age. Gorgeous fruit and subtle spice. Lovely prelude to a trip to the East Coast of Tassie! — 3 years ago
2017 is fab. Great QPR. Intense with backbone. Give it a few more years. it doesn’t get much better at this price-point. — 5 years ago

2021 vintage. Super lean body. Pesticide (black/white pepper) nose. Total food wine and devoid of the usual aspects of Côte-Rôtie love. 10.09.24. — a month ago
