Last bottle. No formal notes. Wow. Just one of the best values I have ever had. Unreal density, purity and length. Saline and flowers. Just brilliant. — a month ago

A brilliant vintage for this. Honeyed apricots, limestone, baked apple, honeysuckle, so aromatic and ripe but also tense and mineral. Palate is ripe, rich and honeyed but has dazzling purity and freshness and a nougat character to the wine. Mouthwatering and perfectly balanced. Brilliant! As this airs it’s getting much more grip and structure. Really dense and mineral but also honeyed and opulent. Multifaceted. — a year ago

'S' Blanc de Blancs Le Mesnil Brut Chardonnay 1996

Really pure and light and lifted. Soft floral notes and a steely spine underpinning it. Long and tense and perfectly balanced with a purity and deftness that is gorgeous. The best 96 I’ve had from them. — 3 months ago

I bought a bunch on release—$200–and love this wine. Guy in NY bought 500 six bottle cases on release—imagine it’s a daily drinker for him. Amazing stuff.

That figures. Good for him. I have a few bottles but it’s always been too tight when I’ve tasted it to think of opening it. It’s singing now though

No formal notes. Love 2020. So classic and mineral. Huge wet earth nose that developed into a mineral nose with crystalline purity. Palate is round and electric at the same time. Some fruit but more mineral driven — a year ago

Nose explodes with raspberries. Palate is good amount of acidity. Tart berry jam and some earth. Better with food. I like it and it is unique but not sure I’d buy again. — 10 months ago

Nose has the classic porphyry aromas and are just wonderful. It’s so expressive. Such mineral precision. Insane clarity of wet stone aromas. Nose is a bit quiet as well as it’s too cold. Palate is hauntingly elegant with unreal rockiness and sappy minerality. Not much fruit right now but the underlying architecture is perfect. Stunning purity. This is a rock star. Literally. What intense minerality on the finish but so so elegant. Just stunning. Some apricot now on the nose. Crystalline purity and just so well made and everything in its place. A stunner. — 2 years ago
