Too bad that more people have discovered the wines of Sylvain Pataille. Still well priced but more competitive to buy them. — 2 days ago
Medium lemon colour , gold reflexes . Quite a lot of ripe yellow fruits , lemon rind and , orange flower . On the palate this is quite rich and round on the palate with yellow fruits, lemon rind , orange and almost some apricot or peach . Quite high alcohol but balanced acidity, good intensity , quite dense though just balanced overall. Would have preferred a little less weight and a bit more freshness . Alright length . This is ready now , but will probably last another 3-5 years but I wouldn’t leave it too long. — 3 months ago
Unusual wine. Very balanced. Gentle fruit and seamless all through to the finish. — 3 days ago
The Clos du Roy has been around ever since the dukes of Burgundy, residing in nearby Dijon, documented, and drank in its virtues.
Ruby red color with aromas of ripe fruits with floral perfume and earthy tones, aged for 14 months in 30% new oak. On the palate flavors of berry and plum fruits, with pepper spice notes. Soft fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and earthy spice character. — 3 months ago
