Roble Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2023

This is a great value ! Less than 15 euro in equivalent local currency. The nose is intense. There is a bit of funk, cherry, earth, leather, oak, coconut, meat juice. It's pretty intense and exciting. The palate is long, bright, broad and thick. It's not very subtle but it's very well made and quite structured and full-bodied. The mouthfeel is soft and silky at first, with cherry and savoury notes at first. There is a bit of a layer, some thick matter on the sides, and it turns into a massive wall which gives way to a strong drying layer all over the finish which is fruity, savoury, a bit bitter, drying and quite long. It's very good stuff considering the pricetag. Need to buy more. — 8 days ago

Viña Sastre Roble Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2019

2019 vintage. Decanted and tasted after one and two hours. Medium body. Pretty throughout with decently consistent push and focus. Another decade might bump this up to a 9.2 or 9.3. 1.9.26. — 4 months ago

Roble Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2020

€24 on the restaurant wine list. This was the lowest price red wine on the list. Certainly not a Beckstoffer but pleasant enough with our dinners at the Costa del Sol, Spain. — 4 years ago

Rancho la Viña Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023

2023 vintage. Medium body. Always nice. Possibly Matt's best wine year in, year out. This could use another year to knit. Hoping to taste again down the road. Definitely believe in his abilities and the authenticity of this vineyard. 3.23.26. — a month ago

Pago de Valdoneje Roble Bierzo Mencía 2023

This will work with the ribeyes tonight. A really solid Mencia for the price. Dark fruit, leather, some vanilla, wet leaves. Tannic and acidic, great for the fat I'm about to consume.
