well balanced (dry-acidity) …subtle “tannins/oaky” notes…. nice wine — 9 months ago
Light-to-medium body; near-perfect acidity that goes beautifully with stuffed portobello mushrooms (spinach & ricotta stuffing). Nice, firm tannins and ripe cherries with anise, with the oak coming through at the end. A little earthy in a pleasant way pairs nicely with mushrooms. Would be GORGEOUS with mushroom risotto and asparagus. I imagine it would be beautiful with red meat, too. #pairwithfood — 5 days ago

Light strawberry tint, hint of raspberry and sour cherry, decent rose. — 7 months ago
Blend of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot, deep Ruby red with fresh red berry aromas and some herb spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum, cacao and licorice. Fine tannins, medium+ finish, good balance with acidity, ending with tobacco and oak on the finish. — a year ago

Enjoyed a single glass after a lovely dinner. The 2001 appears a deep amber color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of apricot marmalade, candied nuts, burnt molasses, espresso, and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and bitter but ever so lovely. Could a wine like this live forever? One of those questions that keeps me up at night. — 11 days ago
