Dark cherries, cassis, smooth tannic tongue weight, leather like I’m being bound, pepper, apricot, delicious! — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Gorgeous on both days. The 2019 Grumello “Rocco de Piro”pours a brilliant, ruby color with a transparent core and a slightly watery rim; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of cool, fresh raspberries, roses with babies breath, Alpine herbs, cedar chest, and rocky earth. On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and the texture is silky. Such a beautiful and elegant expression of Chiavennasca. Drink now through 2034. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass — 4 months ago
Classic Chianti, paired beautifully with a Steak Milanese (La Grotta’s famous steak “à la Roberto”). — a month ago
Enjoyed at Savini Ristorante in Milan, Italy, with Veal Cheek and truffles to start and Osso Buco as my main. Buon appetito! — 3 months ago
Delicious Chocolate over dried fruit notes with nice dry floral notes. A very nice nebbiolo without face ripping tannins- a good sipper but also would pair well with the lighter side of Italian foods. — 4 months ago

2020 vintage, standard Chianti ruby red coloring, decent floral aromas on the nose, cherry and spice on the palette, complete shift in flavor after letting it breath for 30 minutes, it leaves a lingering but pleasant hint of smoke or burnt oak on the finish. — 3 days ago
