Excellent earthy, spicy, herbal with this delicious Friuli varietal, Schiopettino. — 5 months ago
New producer to me
Apparently he has been a benchmark for pignolo and schioppettino for a long time
Wine style is big
Wines get released after many years depending when he thinks they are ready
The schioppettino gave me the best impression
Fruit, spices(coriander seeds and white pepper) and a bit of incense
You keep swirling you will get more and more
Very long
Hard to find and a bit pricey — 2 years ago
Nice but I think a bit less so than previous iterations of this wine. Maybe better a couple years ago, this felt slightly thin at first. But overall still a wonderfully interesting version of Schioppettino - lots of good earth and spice and acid in balance. — 3 months ago
Wonderful brunch wine! Paired well with all of our brunch items. Wonderful bouquet, rich with ripe fruit. Smooth from start to finish with very low tannins. Loved it!! — 8 months ago
