Vintage 2012 | Super reliable Rioja with a smell of cedar, forrest and pipe tobacco. Velvety taste. Paired with blind finch and broad beans. — 24 days ago
Blend of 85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, Graciano & Mazuelo, was first wine winery ever produced, aged 18 months in 225L barrels. Deep Ruby color with aromas of fruit, earthy forest floor and woodsy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with cedar, tobacco, leather and smoky notes. Fine chalky tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, tobacco, toasty cedar and earthy mineral character. Nice now! Good value! — 4 months ago
Medium ruby with medium garnet , ruby rim . Quite high toned spicy , sweet red fruit, red plum and cherry , vanilla , with a herbal , earthy touch. On the palate this is quite strict and tannic , lots of structure with decent acidity and red plum , darker cherry , spiced currants , hedgerow fruits, blackberry . Slightly saline , stony finish . Good length and well balanced alcohol . Very young , needs time to integrate. Better in 5-8 years and will last well for a further 10 or so years . — 13 days ago
First vintage of this wine, finished with a German-made glass closure, rich and complex, dark fruits, really fantastic Sierra foothills (2,900 feet elevation) Syrah, long, lingering finish, and, 14.9% ABV, yet not hot?!?! — 4 months ago
Dense and dark, almost black colors. Looks viscous when I swirl. Lots of vanilla on the nose, but some cedar and dark fruit underneath. Has some spice, like clove and dill, but also perfume, like rose. Very intense and rich juice, heavy acidity and powerful structure with medium+ tannins. Manly wine. — 5 months ago
