An excellent Pinot Noir. Balanced, slightly tart cherry flavor with a floral bouquet. Love it. — 7 months ago
At 10yrs old, this was soooo in the zone. Complex yet not out of balance. Rich fruit and food assertive tannins…quality build!!! Loudoun for the Win — a year ago
‘Las Alturas' Spanish for 'the heights', a fitting name, this vineyard located on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. 4th gen Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner from family with farming & winemaking roots in Napa since 1906. Met Joe several times. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot I have come across). Nice berry and floral spice aromas. Rich cherry/plum flavors with oak, spice and vanilla. Long finish, bold ending with sweet oak notes. Very Nice! A Fav! — 3 years ago

First time trying a wine from Israel. This was pretty nice—lots of autolytic notes and it was nice to try one that was vintage dated and with some bottle age. — 7 years ago

PnP. Raspberry, cranberry, plums, and dried herbs on the nose. On the palate, the same flavors come through, and with time in the glass, florals and cardamom with underlying hints of cloves and allspice emerge. Nice finish, with the floral and cardamom flavors lingering. Overall really tasty, but required time in the glass to open up. Probably would benefit from a short decant. — 4 months ago

Nose: hint oak. Airy. Hint sea breeze. Lovely. White flowers.
Palate: lovely sweet oak. Sweet wood. Rich. Not over the top. — 2 years ago
Dark garnet to the edge with a bright nose of plum, black cherry, slight earth and oak. Very smooth, medium body, fruit forward yet still a touch dry with mild tannins and nice acidity. Maybe some strawberry in addition to plum and cherry flavors and a hint of spice. Really really a great Oregon Pinot! — 4 years ago
Very good! Dark fruit- plum and cherry w/ smoke and tar(?) — 6 years ago

Opened sometime before dinner. The 2023 pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of strawberry, raspberry, red flowers, anise, forest floor and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Lovely, fresh, textbook Pinot Noir from E-A. Drink now through 2038. — 2 days ago
