Very muted in the nose… hardly anything at first, fresh saltiness, barely a hint of green apple & lemon peel. And yet, fresh & enticing.
And then, on the palate this sings! Simply beautiful! With a touch of roundness & creaminess on the palate but also vibrant acidity, salinity, stony minerality. Ripe yellow apple & lemon. Vibrant, juicy and quite complex. Great depth & length.

Loire Valley Gamay. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of juicy cranberry, red plum, red cherry with additional notes of violets, mushrooms, earth and baking spices. Medium-minus body (based on the color you would think otherwise) and medium acidity. Extremely soft tannins and bone dry. You can smell and taste (pleasant) the carbonic Maceration. Quite interesting. Excellent with food. — a year ago
