Trousseau Gris

Sonoma County Trousseau 2016

Last 2016. Still lovely, but I’d call this a ‘sooner rather than later’ bottle if I had more. — 6 days ago

Willamette Valley Pinot Gris 2022

Pinot Gris is my favorite white, usually from Joel Gott or King Estate. I think I like this better. The nose is like an orchard in bloom. Medium bodied, pale yellow. Green and stone fruits finish with just enough sweetness. Delightful. — 2 months ago

Philippe Bornard

Le Ginglet Arbois Pupillin Trousseau 2018

Longtime favorite and I snap up this foxy number whenever I see it. Crunchy strawberry and herbs, a bit of animal and yeast at the end but not too much to compromise the freshness. I don’t think this ages and should be drunk up but that doesn’t make it any less special — a month ago

I don’t know the first vintages were so unique and different. Subsequently the wines changed.
