3.3. We don’t usually drink Riesling, but this dry Riesling from Australia was a gift from a friend, and we very much enjoyed it with cheese and crackers before dinner. — 3 months ago
Purchased from Marion Hotel and Cellars near Adelaide, we enjoyed this in American River on Kangaroo Island. This full-bodied Shiraz evolved beautifully over the evening, revealing layers of dark berries, pepper, tobacco, Australian bark and earth, and a hint of anise, with a spicy finish. Balanced and complex, it earned full bonus points for how much we enjoyed it. A great wine, albeit with a screw cap. — a month ago
Deep cherry red. Black currant. Vanilla. Gentle aroma. Silky tannin. Superb balance among sweetness, spiciness and acidity. Full of elegance. Mount Eden Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 17 @13750, Yang, 241222 — a month ago
A beautiful and cheap dry Riesling from Australia — 3 months ago
The 2023 Henschke Julius Eden Valley Riesling offers a crisp profile with pronounced apple and pear notes, showcasing refreshing acidity and pretty good balance. One year on the rack added some nice depth. — a month ago
Pale lemon in color. Aromas of peach, apricot, honeysuckle, lemon, and minerals. The palate is creamy yet refreshing, with notes of butter, vanilla, and ginger. Full bodied with a long finish. Gets better as it opens up.

2020 vintage. A fave CA chard and producer. Medium-medium heavy body. Tasting slightly more tropical and advanced with less acidity than usual. Still absolutely delicious tho. Would like to retaste and reevaluate in 5-6 months tho. Based on 30 vintages of tasting this particular wine, betting it reconciles any tawdry, fleeting concerns that occupy my compromised palate and right quick. 01.22.25. — 4 days ago
