Quite approachable at this young age. 30 minutes decant and it’s open for business. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, sweet spices, cocoa, and lightly roasted nuts. The depth of flavors and elegant medium to full body show the pedigree. If blinded, I would not be able to tell this is a Sangiovese dominant blend. Would prefer a bit more acidity. Tenuta Nuova Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2007

2007 vintage.
Dried Bing and Lapin cherries on the nose with hints of fig.
Plums, dark cherries, tobacco, sandalwood and dried roses.
Smooth well developed tannins combining well with persistent, yet still mouth watering acidity.
Such a gentle, smooth and refined finish.
It hurts me to say this is my last bottle.

Wine is dark ruby, with purplish on the edge. On nose its ripe fruit, floral parfumed, oak in there, violets, tobacco. On palate, wine is full bodied, jammy, fine acidity, tannic, wine is open up after 1 hour decant. The intensity is there. Its still too young to drink. Try it after 2026. 2019 vintage. Last tasted 10.22.24 (9.4) and 3.20.24 (9.3). Tasted side by side with the 2018 vintage (9.5). Medium-heavy bod. Biggie, encompassing nose. Showing very well currently for an exalted vintage. Finish could use a touch of denouement as it's a bit wild as we speak. Yet, the entire package is fairly formidable currently. Another 4+ years should find this steering into smoother waters and drinking phenomenally. — 25 days ago

Dark ruby color. Nose is floral, rose, red fruit and some strong cedar. High acid, astringent and tannic upon opening. Better after 2 hours of air. Pepper, tart dark fruit. This will improve with age. — 18 days ago

Medium ruby core , little more lighter garnet rim . Quite aromatic , spicy red plum , pine resin , red cherry and herbal , tobacco hints . On the palate a little richer and denser than the 2021 , herbal tinged red and dark fruits , pretty high acidity with more dusty tannins . Overall a bigger more structured tannic framed wine . Very long and powerful on the finish . Mineral and fresh summer fruit finish . This is very young still needs probably another decade , but is very promising . Balanced but powerful . Will probably have a longer life than the more refined and elegant 2021 — 25 days ago
