I have no idea why @Delectable Wine puts “Marks & Spencer,” which I think is a British retailer, in the ID of this wine. Anyway, it’s a characterful wine. Very dark color for a Chianti Classico. It’s got an interesting nose of black cherry, a substantial tomato leaf note, leather, and rocky gravel. Rather energetic in the mouth, with deep, dark cherry, that turns savory and minerally very quickly. A bit more soft tannin than many annatas, and zesty acids. Lot of bang for the buck here. — 9 months ago

Light red. A bit of a pale pink at the meniscus. Smells like red fruit.medium to full bodied. Red fruit tastes. Medium tannins. Notes of strawberry, tomato and herbs, maybe oregano. A bit oaky at the back of the mouth. — 8 days ago
Nose is reticent but what is there is on the weedy side. There’s also some pungent minerality, with some nice cassis fruit struggling to peek through. Deep and savory in the mouth, with very nice acids keeping things youthful-feeling. Still a fair amount of very fine tannin. This reminds me of a good Listrac. Still has years to go. — 2 months ago
Still fruity, soft, integrated well with evolved flavours and softly perceptible tannins. — 8 years ago

First time trying Chianti. This one specifically was a Chianti Classico riserva. It is a red wine from Italy. It takes a minimum of 24 months of aging with at least 3 months of bottle aging after that. Organoleptic features. Not as dry as I thought it would be. Strong earthy notes which I have experienced for the first time. A lot to taste but easy to enjoy. — 8 days ago
