I have a cold, but it has a strong, yet enjoyable flavor. I like how dark of a wine it is. — 2 days ago
Great wine. Elegant dark fruits. Rich. — a month ago
Wow, so big, so fruity, a bit sugary. It’s old school cool, like a true OG CA Zinfandel. — 3 months ago
Refreshing and good mouthfeel, it was lacking in depth, length and on the simple side. — 16 days ago
Ready to drink. Worked well with grilled pork chops. Friends who prefer Italian reds liked it. — 21 days ago
Beautiful zin with full, silky body. Black and red fruits, plum, and fingers with smooth tannins. Great wine. — a month ago
This is the 2019 Hunting Hill, same vintage as the recently tasted Kumeu River Coddington. The Coddington remains the more opulent of the Kumeu cuvées. A mouth watering salinity. In this one. As Bob Campbell MW said, this is a Burgundian style (lacking the stone fruit of the Coddington). Although several previous vintages of Mates Vineyard have proved, at least to my palate, that it is the premium Cuvée. — a month ago
