Sticking with the Vau de Vey alliterative format, this is very vibrant and vivacious. Extraordinarily pure ripe apple (with a nod toward peach) fruit on the nose, backed up with very clean limestoney minerality. On the palate, there’s an immediate jolt of very pure fruit, a soft, enveloping texture, and then the mineral notes kick in on the extended finish. Clearly unoaked, and with crisp, integrated acidity. Nicely done. Textbook. — 21 days ago

Very dark ruby coloration. On the nose, spice, oak, vanilla, anise and dark berry. On the palate, dark berry, vanilla, minerality in the finish. Very nice wine with balanced tannins. — a month ago

This is much more backward and has a tannic edge to it, dark fruits, good length, I suspect that this will always show that tannic edge, big and richer than the Traboules, but I prefer the refined aromatics and balance of the Traboules tonight. — 2 months ago
