Aged this one for 4 years and it’s paid off. Deep black cherry and an almost mint flavour with tremendous depth.
We’re saving some for tomorrow to see how extra air exposure impacts it.
Update: The day of air was worthwhile leading to a silkier mouthfeel. — 5 months ago
Unbeatable location and excellent wine list, this one jumped off the page at us. Not surprising as it was our wine of the year in 2022. It’s back with a vengeance in 2024, into the #1 spot again. Smooth, almost creamy, with classic dark fruits (cherry), dark chocolate and earthy, leathery finish. Perfect with our Chateaubriand 👌🏼 — 5 months ago
Luminous, golden hue. The nose shows freshness and fruit with notes of lemon meringue pie followed by yellow fruit such as Mirabelle plums. Then, as the Champagne warms up, aromas of plums with slightly honeyed and toasted notes start to come through. The Champagne confirms its richness and volume. The Pinot Noir endows it with structure and depth. Hawthorn and white flower aromas fuse naturally together in a fine acidity sustained by citrus fruit. — 5 months ago
