Pure electricity! Although a bit more jagged, this Albariño has concentration that trends toward Sketch. Acid heads should appreciate the cut that this citrus bomb asserts with heaps of lemon, lime zest, grapefruit and golden melon. There’s an underlying component of wet stone and white flower aromas that compliment the briny, sea salt subtleties on the nose and palate...hallmarks of benchmark Albariños. This wine screams for a bowl of mussels, charred octopus and an ocean breeze. Good stuff.

50-year old wine. Drinking an old wine is adventurous and exciting. Upon opening, it was clear from the aroma and color that the wine was still alive! We could still taste the remaining fruits supported by the good balance of acidity. The wine went downhill after two glasses. With social-distancing in place, it was a quiet night but a wonderful moment tasting its history.

Really dense and structured in a beautiful sense. Oaky leaves, twigs and green acorns on the nose; black cherries, violets, cloves and peppercorn. Oak tannins lap the lower sides of your tongue and teeth. Tar, crushed violet, black currant, cranberry, graphite: yes and more please! Thought I should get on this one sooner, but could age a while too! .

Rrrrrrrraowr! Mushroom and potting soil, prime rib and rosemary. Get the fudge outta my way! Can’t! Dark chocolate dominates in graphite-plum and agro-tannin cedar, cinnamon and tobacco force the issue and the black currant is AGGRESSIVELY assertive! Got black pepper in white pepper sauce! Iron rich liver grill without the bitter; shellfish shell, prune and blackberry show sour aspects and oak tannins spread the word. Spanish oak and sensibility prevail. Beast and the best of such.
