Pale gold with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with citrus and sweet floral, aged 75% French oak & 25% stainless. On the palate flavors of ripe melon, pineapple, apricot and notes of honeysuckle with hints of lemon zest and biscuit notes, delicate, complex and well balanced, big and full Chardonnay. Long finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and nutty toasty character. Will age well. Outstanding! — 3 years ago
Built from 25 vineyards in nine counties, the Turley Juvenile is a summation of California Zinfandel in a single bottling. The ‘22, released this spring (‘24) is an excellent example, with bright berries and soft florals layered over darker fruits and a wonderfully smooth texture. Highly drinkable now and for the next several years. Let’s hope it stays one of the great bargains in California wine. — 5 months ago
Pretty opaque, violet rim . Deep spice filled nose , blackberry , blackcurrant , dark cherry , floral hints . Lovely and expansive on the palate , dark blackberry and dark cherry , chocolate richness , but dry extract with marked but fine tannin and balanced acidity . Very long and filling . Nutmeg , and a meaty character after a while, with an oyster shell , mineral finish . This actually shows quite well , it’s enormous potential is clear , with time in the glass it does change quite a lot and invites you back for another try. For such a full bodied , full blooded wine it has so much completeness and harmony , there is no excess sweetness and the alcohol is balanced and seemlessly integrated . I am glad a tried it now , though I would imagine it’s best days to be 25-40 years in the future . @ Ben Ean , Hunter Valley . — 9 months ago
Waited 18 years to open this beauty. 25 is probably the right number. It was still tightly closed. Delicious and very nice but I could tell it needed more time to really shine. Oh well. Not sure I have that much time left. It was a 75th BDay present to myself. — 3 years ago
Acidity is the first thing that I notice in a Lauer wine. Always screaming pairs well with the peach, apricot and steely minerality. I remember this bottle having a hint of RS. — 6 months ago
clean bright fruit, fresh and cool with good acidity/salinity. Blue, purple fruitness with floral tones and some bitterness. Not full bodied, but elegant. (75% merlot & 25% cabernet franc) — 6 months ago

Cubillo is a beautiful anomaly in a sea of $25 wines.
It’s the youngest of the lot, but the signature stamp is there, so obviously LDH Tempranillo.
Velvet milk chocolate, ripe black cherries, brand new leather boots. Rich and loaded with cocoa and coffee and raisiny red berries.
It looks like motor oil. Heck it has almost a decade in bottle. Plenty of acid to smooth out over time.
We should be stock piling this - quality and price don’t intersect so well very often. — 3 years ago
"Odedi"
Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose with blueberries, black plums, stewed cherries, raisins, figs, light oak, licorice, spices, chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, spices, light wood, peppercorn, dark chocolates and herbs.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This 3-year-old Zinfandel from Sonoma County is drinking very nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next few years.
Showing nice complexity with a soft mouth feel. Fruit forward and easy drinking. Rich, but not 'too much'.
The alcohol is not very noticeable at this point, although it is very high, so watch out.
I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent. I usually like it better with a little more age.
Wine Spectator 92 points.
A good everyday wine. Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with burger and fries.
A blend of 83% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, 3% Alicante and 4% Mixed Reds.
15% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
