Delicious. Loads of vibrant ripe apple fruit actually veering toward peach. Nice slatey minerality. In the mouth, it’s soft and round-textured on entry, then some minerality comes in but then recedes, leaving lingering notes of pure fruit. Good acids and just a hint of sweetness. Informal social gathering at my former director's place. Wine of the evening. Superb Kabinett with a bit of age on it, with the RS nicely digested by the acid drive of the wine. Years ago used to treat myself to this maker once a year, but then my local store stopped bringing them in & I lost contact. Such a marvelous blend of concentration & finesse: Asian pear, ginger crystal, and white peach. Not a light bodied Kabinett, just gorgeous. Not a stand out vintage if I remember right but they are all pretty damn good. — 3 years ago
