Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, light cedar, earth, coffee, herbs, light vanilla, toast, tobacco leaf and chocolates.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Alexander Valley. Rich and fruit forward, elegant and nicely balanced.

Still young, but already enjoyable, even by itself. Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

The nose reminds me of a Napa Cabernet. Complex and entertaining.

A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. Aged in (25% new) French and American Oak barrels for 24 months.

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and nicely balanced, complex and entertaining.

Very true to the Terroir, and shows very much like an Alexander Valley Cabernet.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

From magnum. Partially poured into a decanter and enjoyed over the course of a couple days. Best on Day 2. The 2015 Pritchard Hill pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and richly fruited with powerful, heady notes of cassis, blackberries, plum, purple flowers, tobacco, cocoa, some star anise and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is luxurious. Classic Pritchard Hill character and surely a candidate for top vineyard status if the US were to ever adopt a classification status. There’s a long future here, especially in this larger format. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90min. The 2024 “White Hill” pours a pale straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with bright notes of star fruit, passion fruit, stone fruits, lemons, a touch of freshly struck matchstick, some white flowers and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and slightly saline. I love the character of these wines. Really tasty stuff.
