First time? It’s a well made wine but not gonna last. One more to go — 6 days ago
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. A pale lemon color in the glass with barely visible little green flecks. Lemon zest and apples of different varieties on the nose. Limestone and honey with a touch of sugar. Minerals and chamomile. So very sexy.
Lithe, lively, and lovely. Medium plus acidity with a ton of character and elegance. Very pure and fresh, clean. There’s a hint of slivered almond initially in the mouth followed by butterscotch and nectarines. Plenty of citrus notes here. A long finishing leaves you wanting more. A truly compelling Burgundy. — 2 months ago
Vintage 2022 | Fresh, saline, minerals. Aligoté is confusing to recognize when tasting blind, it can also be rather meager. But this Aligoté is textbook: fine citrus in smell, tones of Granny Smith in first sips, very very vibrant and juicy. You long to a new sip of the wine. Paired with Asian yaki udon with pointed cabbage, oystermushrooms, bacon strips and a viscous sauce in which I added a bit saké. — a month ago

2022 vintage. The website didn't update for the 2022 vintage yet, but according to Jeff Leve (the Wine Cellar Insider often has more recent info than the official websites), it is a blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Sémillon. In any case, it is a beauty. Pineapple and white peach go hand in hand with floral and mineral aromas. It has a very round mouthfeel, but very fresh at the same time. Probably the finest value in Pessac-Léognan white Cru Classés these days. — 3 months ago

Wow! This is a stunning expression of Saumur-Champigny Cabernet Franc, elegant, precise, and deeply evocative of its terroir.
From the first pour during decanting, it reveals a beautifully perfumed nose of ripe red berries, violets, graphite, and a subtle earthy undertone that really overwhelms me.
On the palate, the wine is both refined and vibrant. Silky tannins frame layers of red cherry, blackcurrant, and crushed herbs, all wrapped in a fine mineral tension that gives the wine energy and length. There’s a quiet power to this vintage it’s structured, but never heavy, so i called it a Delicate Thursday Wine.
Showing a graceful evolution over a decade in the glass.
2015 was a warm vintage, and Sanzay has balanced ripeness with freshness masterfully. This is a wine that speaks of place, crafted with sensitivity and finesse.
My advice: decant it now for a beautiful experience, or cellar it with confidence it has many years of life ahead.
Overall for me this is a compelling, soulful Cabernet Franc that combines purity with poise. A wine that’s can hold it’s ground served blind with the great wine from this region, and must-try for Loire lovers. — 15 days ago
