On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Luscious and unctuous but not over the top syrupy. Perfumed and balanced; a delight with food like nuts, cheese and flatbread but also great on its own. Enjoyed the 2018 vintage in Vegas with William and Shari, celebrating our February birthdays. Happy Birthday to us! — 2 months ago

Nose presents baking spices and a touch of soft brown sugar. Palate is dense and layered, as usual for this producer (before the winery changed hands the first time around). Notes of coffee, tobacco and maple syrup come through on the mid palate. Nice tannin/acidity combination complete what is a classic BV presentation. Drink these within the 24 months. This winery has been on the slide ever since Ed Snyder and team departed. I tasted some of the 18’s and 19’s and they were a mere shadow of the previous product.

A blend of multiple vintages; 2019/2021/2022, stands out from the crowd, aromatic, perfumy and charming on the nose, inviting notes of black fruit, amazing toasted notes, nice structure, rounded tannins, lovely acidity, slightly fruity but balanced. We had the 2012 Vintage on 11/3-4/24. A nice Old World Bordeaux. BlackBerry, plum and spice on the palate. Tannins smoothed out. Full bodied and well balanced. — 5 months ago
