Decided to try one of these guys. Somewhat surprised - more accessible and quite a bit glossier than I was expecting. The 14.5% is well balanced with great acid. Nice deep berry fruit but perhaps doesn’t have as much of those characteristic St. Joseph briny, earthy, olivey, somewhat rustic notes as expected. Nice pairing with shepherd’s pie made from leftovers from Christmas. — 3 months ago

Nicely balanced Côtes du Rhône, enjoyed with steak frites at STK restaurant in Boston — 20 days ago

Delightful brambly fruit and violet aromas are firm but not too grippy on the palate with bell pepper notes and a hint of tobacco spice. This is a perfect example of the varietal. — 25 days ago
Full bodied, slightly dry, deep complexity, seductive scent , would want a case on the reg — 2 months ago

Peppery cherry. Mineral with bite. Slightly effervescent. Everything I love in a gamay. — 10 days ago
