Nose: that vegetal note. Cocoa
Palate: vegetal a bit. Fruit in background. Good acidity. Maybe some plum. Cocoa. Some sweet fruit. Some spice.

Robust, mildly sweet, red fruits — 5 years ago
Sweeter and Carbinated. It is actually much better than we expected. We would totally get again, just not try pairing it with Prime Rib. Lol. — 6 years ago
Very dark rosé, slight bitter notes, forward acids. — 4 months ago
One of the best California Pinots I’ve had. Red fruit, tobacco, and pepper, oaky and savory with spot-on body and balance. Excellent value at Costco — 6 months ago
One of my favorite wines to have with basic pasta with tomato sauces (with or without meat) is Argentine Bonarda. Unfortunately we’re overrun with effing Malbec and Bonarda remains hard to find in the states, even though it’s widely grown in Argentina. This has the classic dark, purply color. Tangy dark mountain berries, crushed rocks, and bitter herbs on the nose. A blast of flavor initially, fading quickly into lingering minerals and acids. (A flavor profile that just works with the aforementioned pasta.). Cheap and good. Glad I stumbled on this. (Not sure why @Delectable Wine published my notes a second time as a comment 🤷) — 8 months ago

Excellent summer wine. Serve chilled. Very light and fruity. — 5 months ago
This wine looks like a rosato, lightly tinted for a red wine. The nose offers bright cherry and lilac scents. On the palate, juicy and vibrant red fruit are a delight, while the acidity is refreshing and the tannins are medium-firm. It finishes medium, with plenty of fruity reminders of the sip. With summer on the way, keep this one in mind if you need a light red to chill for the patio. — 6 months ago
Moores 2024. $25. Still the greatest. — 8 months ago
Under the radar to many, yet supreme winemaking here. Mostly dark fruit, picota cherries, plums, blackberries, ample bodied and length in a difficult year. Ageing gracefully. A star — 9 months ago
Loved this wine tasted at Basil’s wine tasting. $20 with a discount. Nice caramel flavor — 5 years ago

Magnificent, deeply traditional Barolo. The nose opens with burning embers, campfire, road tar, dried roses and a huge range of savory exotic spice, then grows more loamy with air, bringing in wood shavings, old library books and classic Nebbiolo earthiness. The palate is dazzlingly concentrated but beautifully controlled, with exquisite red fruit, layers of cherry, superb linearity and wonderfully articulated tannins. Dense without heaviness, elegant despite the power, and architecturally complete. The finish is extraordinarily long and saturated with fruit, tannin and mineral detail. Already a superb Barolo, with obvious 9.7 upside as it continues to open.
After an hour and a half, this has gone to another level. The nose is now wildly floral and almost four-dimensional, with extraordinary depth and perfume, easily 9.7 to 9.8 aromatically. The palate has become even more beautiful, juicy and seamless, with velvety, sweet tannins and incredible tiny-berry fruit intensity. The structure is still serious, but everything is now more integrated and complete. 9.6 to 9.7. — a month ago
