Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe fresh berry fruits, spice and herb notes, has a splash of Merlot added to the Malbec. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of oak and black pepper notes. Fine soft tannins, great balance with acidity, long finish ending with juicy fruits and mineral notes. Hi everyone! This is lovely (rare descriptor for me). Medium red brick color, medium plus body, medium plus alcohol but subtle. Nice acidity, and tannins make this absolutely drinkable right now-- 8/26/25 my 58th birthday, forgot to give everyone my new Miami address for bottled gifts 😜 . Certainly floral notes on both the nose and palate, but not rose, some cedar overtones, with an enjoyable minerality. It's lovely because it all comes together like a beautiful gift basket (pun not intended) that would impress a royal lady, but stand up proud for a gentleman. It will improve, but you don't have to let it!

The right amount of Funk ... Well rounded dark and red cherries, smoke, coffee, retama, eucalyptus, underbrush, mineral dry goodness with slightly high acidity and gentle tannins... BE A U TEE FULL — 5 years ago
Crisp, very peachy, a little floral . Maybe white peach or mimosa? Nice acid but balanced. — 3 months ago
Nice! Reductive, but blew off and has great acid and red fruit. — 4 months ago
Nearly 8 years old and the acidity is still off the charts. Love it. Little smoky note on the nose and rocky notes at the end—so volcano. Lots of cherry with a bit of raspberry zip in the middle. Moderate-minus tannins. Wish it lingered longer. — 10 months ago

Sometimes you just need a #volcanicwine. This one comes from the craggy, windswept Canary Islands of the northwest coast of Africa. Put on some Cesaria Évora and get ready for a whiff of smoky funk followed by deeply mineral flavors of plum and red berries, bitter herbs, and pulverized stone. Faint powdery tannins hang in a haze as the wine lingers with bitter licorice root and camphor wood notes in the finish. Made from old vines of Listan Negro, it’s a classical expression of the Canaries, but from a surprising source. The producers behind this brand are the Spanish cooperative CVNE and local producer Suertes de Marques who selected fruit from theor vineyards in Valle de Orotava on the island of Tenerife. 2016 Medianías Listan Negro Viñas Viejas, Valle de la Orotava, Canary Islands, Spain. — 5 years ago
Clear, deep ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black plums, graphite, and green peppers; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, blueberries, tar, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and intense. Overall, I rate it as very good. Nellie likes it too. — 5 months ago
Ashy aroma, slightly metallic and acidic taste upfront with a burst of strawberry finish. Lovely on its own and weight enough to have with tuna steak. — 2 years ago

11 percent abv; a little lean but good aromatic intensity. Under ripe raspberry, cranberry, various crunchy red fruits. Med plus acid and a decent finish for a light bodied red. Could use 5-7 years to gain more earthy complexity. — 23 days ago
