Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) with some Syrah (12%) and other red varietals (8%) blended in. Aromas of blackberry, smoke, salt and meaty bacon. The palate is full of dark berry/plum fruit with hints of black cherry and dark chocolate. Touch of vanilla on the long and silky finish. Solid complexity and nicely structured. Quilceda Creek

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

Very nice. Thought I detected a bit of cork taint initially but seemed to blow off. Sweet dark berries, chocolate cherries, violets, smoke, spice, very slight secondary notes, high octane but not hot. Not sure if it’ll develop much more — 2 months ago
